This moist and tasty Baked Ham with Marmalade Almond Crust is a must-try. Makes an impressive main dish and is perfect for Sunday supper or the holidays!
Ham is a holiday favorite at our house. For Easter and Christmas of 2014, I let my slow cooker do all the cooking. It was super easy and fuss free. The meat was moist, tender, and delicious. Using the slow cooker is definitely the way to go if you need the oven to prepare the other dishes for your holiday feast.
Baked Ham For Easter and Christmas
For Easter of 2015, I decided on a baked version as the main dish. This Baked Ham with Pineapple Brown Sugar Glaze took center stage and it was a winner! Not only did it look gorgeous but it was moist and flavorful. I was really happy at the way it turned out and everyone in the family thoroughly enjoyed it.
For two consecutive Christmases, Rib Eye Roast was our main dish. This year, we all agreed that we should have another baked ham instead. I purchased two spiral cut hams and made this Baked Ham with Marmalade Almond Crust for our dinner. The other one was kept for a holiday get-together which I will share later.
Marmalade Ham
This time round, I wanted it to be a little different. Instead of just a marmalade glazed ham, I decided on a Marmalade Almond Crust on top of the glaze to give it a little texture. For the crust, I used a mix of almond meal, crushed rice cereals, and dried herbs for additional flavor.
To serve, I placed it on a platter with the meat cascading downwards. Everyone said, “Wow!” I have to say, it did look quite impressive.
Note: Ham can be pretty salty. Soaking the spiral cut ham in cold water for an hour was perfect! You may have to soak uncut ham for a slightly longer period of time.

Serving Suggestion
This Baked Ham with Marmalade Almond Crust was very moist and super tasty. I served it with Cranberry Wild Rice Stuffed Squash which was in itself a festive and quite substantial side dish.
